Rogers Communications announces $200M buyout deal
The telecom giant has bought out Rogers Communications, the Canadian telecom giant that has been on a tear since announcing its plan to buy NBCUniversal in the summer.
Rogers Communications announced the deal Thursday, saying the buyout will reduce its debt to $20.9 billion.
It will pay $1.9 per share and is expected to close in early 2019.
The deal was first reported by The Canadian Press.
The deal will reduce Rogers Communications debt to a net $20 billion.
